At last, Adrianne Palicki is going to play a TV superhero.
The Friday Night Lights actress has been cast in a guest star role as fan favorite Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., EW has confirmed. For fans of the comics, she’s a S.H.I.E.L.D. field agent who used the costumed identity of the Huntress and also Mockingbird (image below). S.H.I.E.L.D. guest star Patton Oswalt first announced Morse was coming to the show in a video that played at Comic-Con panel, while THR broke the news of Palicki’s casting.
Palicki previously had the starring role in NBC’s infamous Wonder Woman pilot that didn’t got to series, plus had a role in the The WB’s Aquaman pilot. The plan is to introduce Morse in the fifth episode of the show’s upcoming second season, which gets underway Sept. 23. She’ll join fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. new hires Kyle MacLachlan as Skye’s (Chloe Bennet) father and Lucy Lawless as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Isabelle Hartly.

I wonder who is going to replace Jenna Coleman since she’s not returning to Doctor Who after this series.
A slim white female in her 20s whose casting is based mostly on how attractive Steven Moffat finds her. Next question.
